Our Mission

Distance Learning is dedicated to an innovative global online learning environment at Gateway Community College. Providing students, faculty, and staff with the highest level of support for online teaching and learning. Collaborating with the Connecticut State College and University system, Distance Learning establishes and preserves quality design in the presentation of online course interaction. We strive to maintain Distance Learning as an area of distinction at Gateway Community College. 

Blackboard

The Connecticut State Community College and University’s Learning Management System. It is used to facilitate learning through the creation and delivery of web-based educational materials. All instructional methods may use the platform to enhance student engagement and support educational goals.

• Course Registration Number (CRN)
• Brief description of the issue
• Dates/times you are available

Student Resource Center

All students have access to the GWCC_Student_Resource_Center on their Blackboard course list. This course offers students a variety of Blackboard and technical tutorials and resources. The course includes a Live Support link where students can meet virtually with a Distance Learning expert 3 days a week.
