Free Financial Aid Workshop

Gateway Community College is hosting a workshop on financial aid and college savings on Wednesday, April 24 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in room N004, lower level in the north building.

Participants will learn about the general financial aid process along with real and practical strategies for educational financing from Gateway's Director of Financial Aid, Ray Zeek.

This workshop is ideal for parents that want to learn the most effective college savings strategies for their young children and for students who will soon be transferring to a university that wish to minimize debt or save for a graduate degree.

Workshop topics include College Savings & 529 Plans, Tax Savings Plans, FAFSA Application Process, CHET Accounts, Public vs. Private Loans, Personal Needs Analysis, Understanding Your Estimated Family Contribution (EFC), College Transfer Cost Information
