While it is not unusual for a typical college student to be on a tight budget, most people consider this lifestyle temporary and not involving significant sacrifice.
Gateway’s Veterans Club collected an initial 400 mugs this past spring and into the fall for Homes for the Brave, a transitional program for homeless veterans. Since then the mugs kept coming in, as recent as this December when FEC, Consultant kept giving and a Child Development teacher Linda Alston from GCC’s Early Learning Center donated another 50 mugs.
Tony Falcone, a New Haven area artist, muralist and sculptor, often refers to himself as an “accidental artist.” In fact, “The Accidental Artist” is the name of a new art exhibit that opened recently at the Gateway Community College NewAlliance Foundation Art Gallery at 20 Church St., New Haven.
With four weeks until final exams and the stress of the end of semester seeping in, Gateway Community College (GCC) students learned how to calm their nerves naturally November 13 during a series of holistic healing workshops.
A series of workshops exploring the health benefits of yoga, meditation, art, and sound therapy will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13 in room N100, the Curran Community Center, at Gateway Community College (GCC).
A bathroom that can be used by anyone, regardless of gender identity, has been designated at Gateway Community College (GCC).
Automotive Program Shows Record Growth

Corporate sponsorships are fueling record growth in Gateway Community College’s automotive program.
Students interested in receiving college credit for knowledge acquired through independent or prior study, on-the-job training, professional development, or internships now have the option of taking an exam for credit at Gateway Community College (GCC).
