Important message from President Coley

Friday, September 3, 2021

Thomas G. Coley, Ph.D.
Regional President

Dear Colleagues,
Welcome to the 2021-22 academic year! I am heartened to see so many members of the college community back on campus, and appreciate all of the energy and effort over the past few months that has gone into bringing many of our students back.
Compliance with the attestation survey requirement is critical to maintaining the safety of our campus communities. We all have a responsibility to one another, and to our students, to adhere to all safety guidelines that minimize the risk of infection. This includes becoming vaccinated or participating in weekly testing if unvaccinated.
Please take a moment to read the important communication below, from CSCU President, Terrence Cheng.
Human Resources Shared Services disseminated the vaccine survey last week to allow employees to self-attest to their vaccine status.
We are still awaiting attestation from many of our employees and urge you to respond by close of business on Tuesday, September 7, 2021.
Based on the results of the survey, we will reach out to those employees who will be required to participate in weekly testing starting the week of
September 13th.  Any employee who is unvaccinated, does not have
a medical exemption and has not responded to the survey will be subject to weekly testing.
There will be an ongoing opportunity to submit or update your vaccine status, however, I am asking that everyone take a moment between now and Tuesday evening to comply with President Cheng's request.
I wish everyone a safe and relaxing Labor Day weekend and wish you a productive and successful academic year.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Be well,
Thomas Coley, Ph.D.
