Gateway to College is a semester to semester scholarship program that provides a unique alternative education opportunity.  Students can earn a high school diploma via Gateway Community College in partnership with New Haven Public Schools with the added benefit of receiving college credits toward an associate’s or technical degree.  Students can also work towards their college goals by selecting a “major” from 1 of 50 career-focused pathways/certifications.

Gateway to College Experiences

GtC testimonials:

In the Fall of 2018 I was referred to the Gateway to College Program. I am so honored that I was chosen to participate. The experience has been positive. I felt ready for the challenge almost immediately. I was excited to meet new people, create friendships, and be in the presence of students who had similar goals.” –Tiffany S. Class of 2019

“The highlight of my attendance at GtC was getting honors and earning some college credit. I can use the credits to finish college early. I would tell each student that going to Gateway is the best choice they could make. This program helps you stay on track to graduate” –Gabriel S. Class of 2019
