Electronic Health Records and Coding

Interested in a career in electronic health records? Gateway Community College has the solution! Beginning Fall 2014, Gateway will offer a brand new Associate in Science degree in Electronic Health Records and Coding.

Students will be able to:

  • Earn college credit for work experience
  • Participate in internships with area employers
  • Receive job placement assistance
  • Learn ICD-9 and new ICD-10 Medical Coding Systems

Upon completion of this program, students will be eligible to take the Certified Professional Coder Exam offered through the AAPC.
