Gateway is pleased to welcome the public to our culinary lab-restaurant, Café Vincenzo. Touted as a “hidden gem” by Mara Lavitt of NewHavenEats, this unique and popular dining experience offers the public a gourmet dining experience while GCC’s culinary students gain real-world work experience preparing for careers in the hospitality industry. Café Vincenzo is located at the corner of George and Church Street, in GCC’s South building in Room S102. The south building is bordered by George Street, Church Street (which is the best entrance for the café), Frontage Road, and Temple Street. Parking is available on Church Street at meters. The college also validates parking for the Temple Garage. Guests must check-in with security when entering the campus buildings (security validates parking tickets).

Spring 2018 International Dinner Schedule

Welcome to our special International (5-course) Dinners at Café Vincenzo. Each International Dinner is researched by the students assigned to that country. The managers for that evening study the history, eating habits, and the economics of the country assigned. The students then design the menu, choose the recipes, and finally, get the chance to run the entire dinner. Due to the short time span that we have to work with, we are unable to have a descriptive menu for each country, but rest assured that each country will be appropriately prepared and presented. You will have to trust in our talents, and in our instructor, when selecting one or more of these remarkable dinners to attend!

Dinners are $28 per person (only credit cards and checks accepted—no cash), served on Thursday evenings. Doors open at 6:00 pm for payment and seating. Service begins promptly at 6:30 pm. Guests may bring their own wine.
