Counseling and Student Success
The Student Success Center provides comprehensive services in an environment conducive to learning by providing the support students need to reach their full potential. The Success Center includes the following departments and services: Academic Advising, Athletics, Counseling, Academic Coaching and Support, New Student Advising and Registration (NSAR) Program, Student Development and Transfer Events, Planning and Advising, and Retention and Basic Needs.
Students should engage in the following activities to help ensure they reach their academic and career goals while attending Gateway Community College.
Academic and career planning
Graduation and Beyond
Six months prior to graduation meet with an academic advisor to review degree evaluation and ensure all requirements have been met
Register for any remaining courses to fulfill outstanding degree requirements
Complete course substitutions forms (If applicable)
Ensure all transfer credits have been successfully applied to GCC transcript (If applicable)
Submit your graduation application online through the Office of the Registrar
Engage in transition planning for employment and/or transfer to 4 year college or university
