  • Bank statements and records of investments (if applicable)
  • Records of untaxed income (if applicable)

Completing your FAFSA on the Web

  1. Fill out your application on the FAFSA Website
  2. Follow all instructions and complete all screens until you get to the confirmation page at the end. Here you will receive a confirmation number this will serve as validation that you have submitted your FAFSA application successfully. (Successful submission of your FAFSA does not mean you are ready to register; ONLY when all unsatisfied requirements have been met, then, students can register.)
  3. Your FAFSA will then be reviewed by the federal government and forwarded to Gateway.

  4. You will receive a response in approximately 7-10 business days.

  5. The Financial Aid Office will process FAFSA applications in the order that they are received. Unsigned or incomplete FAFSA applications (rejected ISIR records) cannot be considered for financial assistance until corrections have been submitted to the federal processor.

  6. You will be notified by email when the school has received your FAFSA application and it has been accepted.

  7. Track your application and complete any unsatisfied requirements. You can track your application online at http://my.commnet.edu/
