On Sunday, April 23 the Gateway Community College (GCC) Social Sciences Department organized and lead the GCC Team in this year’s Connecticut Food Bank’s Greater New Haven Walk Against Hunger.  The GCC team, which included faculty, staff, family members, and students, raised over $700 to fight hunger.

More than 650 local food assistance programs rely on the CT Food Bank to provide food to serve their community and, through this network, enough food is distributed to make 50,000 meals a day.
